Description: It's the 21st century, but the gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters have walked out of the pages of high school student Percy Jackson's Greek mythology texts and into his life. And they're not happy: Zeus' lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Even more troubling is the sudden disappearance of Percy's mother. As Percy finds himself caught between angry and battling gods, he and his friends embark on a cross-country adventure to catch the true lightning thief, save Percy's mom, and unravel a mystery more powerful than the gods themselves.

OMFG!!!! I loved this film!!! ive seen it over 10 times and im not exagerating. i loved it!!! of course i liked the book a little better but still i thought the acting was fantastic!!! Pretty lame... All that "trying to be funny" thing ruined this movie. Also: for a movie based on greek mithology everything looks so "happy"... Disney's "Hercules" had a better Underworld design ahaha.

If you know your Greek Mythology you would know that Medusa was an immortal.. which means she can't die. According to the myth she still lived, just had her head detached. That's why her stare was still able to turn people/things into stone. Also... it's a FICTION movie..
