i loved seeing johnny play this character. he was very self-assured, strong-willed and focused in a non-overbearing way. he had enough charisma that his presumptuousness became more of an attraction than distraction and you wanted to see him win. they portrayed dillinger with an underlying gentleman quality even with the bad boy lifestyle. [spoiler]
movie seemed to be closer to his actual life than previous movies about dillinger. although, timeline and events were altered greatly in some scenes of the movie. the movie actually interested me in researching more about dillinger--intriguing to say the least. i had seen specials on him before, but never caught the massiveness of his actions and life until reading more about it. on dvd, it is interesting listening to the commentary of michael mann about dillinger and movie.Posted by HotOne about 12 Months Ago | 0 Replies | Quick Reply | Mark As Spam | | | 0 Votes
