Based on a play by the author of The Philadelphia Story, this funny and racy comedy finds successful publisher Tom Collier (Leslie Howard) torn by his feelings between two women. One Cecilia 'Cee' Henry Collier (Myrna Loy) is an affluent society woman, and the other Daisy Sage (Ann Harding) is an artist who represents a freer life. Made at the height of Hollywood's notorious pre-Code era, this film is surprisingly frank in its attitudes on love, sex, and marriage. The film flopped with the Depression-era audience as a whole.
