Movie begins differently than the book. It tells the story of Heathcliff, a poor, abused orphan taken in by a charitable man and his two children, Hindley and Catherine. When he marries Cathy's sister in law, Isabella, Cathy is heartbroken. She later dies in childbirth, leaving Heathcliff alone in torment. He later kidnaps Cathy's child and takes her to marry his son. It is there that she learns of Cathy & Heathcliffs story and their unending love for each other.
